We welcome Vessela Banova!

Ms. Vessela Banova, deputy chair of the Bulgarian State Agency for Child Protection, Bulgaria, has been invited to participate in the ICCYS Plan Netherlands Distinguished Fellowship Program. The program is open to prominent figures in the field of childcare and child protection. Within its framework, Ms. Banova has been welcomed to conduct a working visit to ICDI, in Leiden, the Netherlands during the period of September – December 2006. One major objective of her stay is to participate in the international research project ‘Newly Emerging Needs of Children’, which, in turn, will provide strong inputs into formulating policy and shaping practices in the field of child protection and child welfare both in Bulgaria as in the wider European region. We also expect that Ms. Banova’s visit will contribute to the work of a number of other joint Bulgarian-Netherlands activities in the field of child- and youth- welfare and capacity building of children- and youth- oriented.
