We are looking for a colleague with a special interest and a proven track record in the field of human resources, financial and office management. In addition, he/she should enthusiastically endorse the mission of ICDI. The HR and Administration Manager will be responsible for all financial, human resources and office matters. He or she has to:
· Plan, develop, implement and keep updated a strategy for HR development, and monitor, measure and report on HR issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales and provide suitable interpretation to other staff;
· Manage all financial issues on both project and organizational level, as well as prepare the financial strategy and (year-)planning, monitoring, management and reporting, including management and development of policies, systems and processes and accounting issues, as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation, annual reports and accounts and liaison with ICDI's bookkeeper and auditor;
· Assume responsibility for the smooth running of the office including overseeing and keeping up to date the office's filing system and assuring the quality of IT support, and maintaining office stationary, supplies and equipment.
· Contribute to organizational strategic planning and development;
Experience with grants from the Netherlands government or EU institutions will be considered an advantage. The jobholder reports to the Director.
ICDI is an international development not-for-profit organization. ICDI promotes the well-being of children growing up in difficult circumstances. We work to improve the policies and practices which affect these children by NGO capacity building, programme development, research and training. We believe in the power of children and young people, and support their rights in addressing the underlying causes for the problems they face. We are based in Leiden, the Netherlands.
The assignment is, in principle, for one year with a one month probation period and could be taken up immediately. The working relationship could lead to a permanent contract, when all involved parties agree. The gross monthly salary, for four working days per week, is € 2,046 (which corresponds to € 2,558 gross fulltime salary).
