The Power of Picture Books; A professional exchange between Dutch and Turkish authors

Together with Sardes and Cohen de Lara Advies en Begeleiding, ICDI aims to bring together Dutch and Turkish authors and illustrators of picture books for young children in a 2-day workshop in Istanbul, Turkey. The first day will consist of a professional exchange between the Dutch and Turkish creators of picture books, mainly on the basis of their own work. On the second day the creators of the books will be confronted with the users of the books, i.e. educators and children. The focus will be on the experiences, ideas, needs, wishes of these users. During the course of the workshop, experts from Sardes and ICDI will present a number of interactive sessions to focus on the educational and societal value of picture books.
