The Power of Picture Books

ICDI organized the workshop in cooperation with Sardes and the Bernard van Leer Foundation (the latter also being the funding organisation of the initiative). During the workshop, participants explored different ways in which to actively engage children in the reading of picture books and to strengthen interaction between children and adults. Examples included story telling with the 'only' prop being the book itself, but also music, dance and theatre as additional means to bring a story to life.
