ICDI welcomes Nina!
01-10-2007The year 2007 has been a special year for us, with 3 new staff members joining our team. On October 1st, Nina von der Assen got the keys to the ICDI premises. She will start off as a junior programme manager. Nina (15-12-1980) has studied Educational Psychology, specialising in children and youth with developmental disorders. She has a special interest in children with disabilities in non western countries and has worked at a special school in Kenya. She completed a MSc in Community Disability Studies and conducted a qualitative research project about children with autism in Kenya. Nina’s areas of interest include Community Based Rehabilitation, inclusive education and human rights. She is passionate about including a disability dimension into development programmes. We are very happy to have her at ICDI.
