ICDI welcomes Margaret Kernan

Margaret has been working in the field of early childhood education and primary education for more than 20 years as a practitioner, researcher and trainer primarily in Ireland, England, and most recently in the Netherlands. Since 2007 she has worked on various consultancies for the Bernard van Leer Foundation in The Hague. Margaret’s specific interests include rights, diversity issues and policy development in early childhood education and care, children’s play, and interdisciplinary approaches in researching issues affecting young children’s lives. Margaret is currently the Manager of the Programme Hub (housed by ICDI) for the Bernard van Leer Foundation's Netherlands country programme entitled, ‘Creating Spaces to Belong’.
