Expert Meeting on Community Care

On 7th of July 2005, ICDI will host an Expert Meeting on ‘Communities caring for OVC: whose burden and how it can be reduced’. The event is organized by Working Group on Orphans & Vulnerable Children. The meeting will start at 9:00 am.
Leading policy makers and practitioners from Bulgaria and South Africa will share knowledge and experience on the most suitable forms to provide care to orphans – biological and social - and other children and youth at risk. Special attention will be paid to the feasibility of community care as an alternative to institutionalized care.
