Children in Youth and Development Course finalised.
10-07-2006In May 2006 and 25 mid-carreer proffesionals from around the globe arrived in Den Hague to follow our annual 10-week module on Children, Youth and Develpment. During their stay at iCCYS (the international centre on child and youth studies, a joint venture of ICDI and ISS), the participants were informed on the the current discourse on children and youth in development studies. They were also inroduced to childcare and youth issues in the Netherlands, Belgium and Europe at large by undergoing studyvisits to various locations in these countries. Very important too is that they had a chance to establish an international network that will enhance their professional carreer. The course has now finished, and we are saddened to see an interesting and lively bunch of people go. At the same time we realise even more the great value the course adds to our work and the personal and professional development for those whe enrolled in it.
