Margaret has been working in the field of early childhood education and primary education for more than 20 years as a practitioner, researcher and trainer primarily in Ireland, England, and most recently in the Netherlands. Margaret’s specific interests include rights, diversity issues and policy development in early childhood education and care, children’s play, and interdisciplinary approaches in researching issues affecting young children’s lives.  Margaret is currently supporting the Bernard van Leer Foundation's country programme for the Netherlands.
