Her educational background is in cultural anthropology and she has worked as project and research coordinator in non profit organizations, universities and public institutions in Italy and in Belgium. Her particular expertise lies in project management (national and EU funds), research, policy development and training activities (formal and non formal). She had been coordinating international projects on youth intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, transnational cooperation and innovative participative/peer-to-peer tools.

She has more than 5 years experience in the field of youth policies and activities targeting marginalised young people in Europe and in some Southern countries. Her work has been focusing mainly on two issues: second generation migrated youth in urban contexts and socio-cultural in- ex-clusion factors affecting these youth with migrant descent in the public sphere (school, urban spaces, political participation activities, etc.); migrants' and refugees' rights.

Moreover, she has been promoting action-research projects on youth active citizenship around the world, connecting South American, European and Asian countries in the common objective of sustaining MDGs through daily activities at local level. Recently, she coordinated a project on transnational youth cooperation and new media, involving young people in Cape Verde and young Cape Verdian people from the diaspora in Europe, who created a Multimedia Centre in Sao Nicolao island for the free, horizontal and grass-root production of the information on migration, development and tourism.
