How to reach us
The office of ICDI is located in the old centre of Leiden, a pleasant fifteen-minute walk from the Central Railway Station. You can download a map here: route_icdi.doc.
Convenient car parks are at Kaasmarkt and Ir. Driessenstraat. These parking places are located on either side of the Hooigracht and are a two-minute walk from ICDI. Please note that driving and parking in the centre of Leiden can be problematic.

By air
Leiden is situated about 25 kilometers south-west of Schiphol International Airport and can be reached easily by road and rail.
By rail
Intercity and local trains from Amsterdam (forty minutes), Schiphol Airport (twenty minutes), The Hague (Den Haag, ten minutes), Utrecht (forty-five minutes); and Rotterdam (thirty minutes) arrive at Leiden Central Station several times per hour. From the Railway station there are regular taxis, the cheaper ‘train taxis’- and bus services available. A number of buses pass the centre of Leiden. Alight at Stadhuis (Town Hall) at Breestraat. On foot it takes about three minutes from the Stadhuis to ICDI.
By road
From Amsterdam (40 km): Take route A4 South, direction Den Haag and Rotterdam. Exit at Afrit 7, direction Zoeterwoude Dorp, Leiden, Voorschoten. Follow direction Leiden, Voorschoten and then Leiden Centrum.
From SchipholAirport (25 km): Take route A4 South, direction Den Haag and Rotterdam. Exit at Afrit 7, direction Zoeterwoude Dorp, Leiden, Voorschoten. Follow direction Leiden, Voorschoten and then Leiden Centrum.
From Rotterdam (35 km): Take route A4 North, direction Amsterdam, Exit at Afrit 7, direction Zoeterwoude Dorp, Leiden, Voorschoten. Follow direction Leiden, Voorschoten and then Leiden Centrum.

From The Hague (Den Haag, 15 km): There are two options. One is to leave The Hague at the East side. Look for road signs for Utrecht and take the ‘Utrechtse Baan’ or A12, direction Utrecht, Rotterdam, Amsterdam. Take A4 North, direction Amsterdam. Exit at Afrit 7, direction Zoeterwoude Dorp, Leiden, Voorschoten. Follow direction Leiden, Voorschoten and then Leiden Centrum. The second is to leave the town by the North side, by N44, via Wassenaar, into the direction of Amsterdam. Exit at Afrit 8, Leiden and follow Leiden Centrum.
From Utrecht: Take A12 West, direction Den Haag (The Hague), then take A4 North, direction Amsterdam. Exit at Afrit 7, direction Zoeterwoude Dorp, Leiden, Voorschoten. Follow direction Leiden, Voorschoten and then Leiden Centrum
